What is interchange fees?
Interchange fees are transaction fees that the merchant’s bank account must pay whenever a customer uses a credit/debit card to make a purchase from their store. The fees are paid to the card-issuing bank to cover handling costs, fraud and bad debt costs and the risk involved in approving the payment.

What is a payment gateway?
A payment gateway is a secure interface between the cardholder, your website and the Acquiring bank. Using a process called tokenisation, a payment gateway will transmit sensitive card details securely using data encryption.
Is your payment gateway free?
Yes, usually there is no change for using our payment gateway. Some high risk merchants may be required to pay additional fees for our fraud management tools and features.
How is High Risk pricing calculated?
Certain industries have high rates of chargebacks and therefore create more risk for the Acquiring Bank when offering card processing facilities. It often requires more fraud monitoring tools and therefore the fee, can in some case be higher than low risk industries.
What are High Risk industries?
The main high risk industries are Adult Entertainment, Gambling, CBD products, Vaping and eCigarettes and certain start up business sectors. In some cases businesses may not be considered high risk. Please contact our business support team for more information.
